Your experience with us can be simple by design and singular in nature by working with just one of us. You can also expand and adjust over time to include other team members. We are intentionally nimble, adaptive and flexible in our process.

Here's more about our Process, especially if you're keen to really take advantage of what we have to offer:

01.
Consult & Assess

When we connect, we will begin with an informal consultation to assess our mutual fit. If we both agree, we will proceed to a formal consultation and assessment. During this session we will explore and investigate all aspects of goals, needs and clinical chemistry. We will generate a clinical conceptualization that will inform our proposal for our work together.

02.
Propose & Plan

Your clinical conceptualization will result in a proposal that will be presented to you. This will include short term and long term goals that harmonize your expressed goals and our collective additional input on your treatment plan. It is at this stage that your therapist(s) and specialist(s) will be assigned to you.

03.
Engage & Adapt

Its go time. You’ll meet with your therapist(s) for a kick off session and the work begins. Across the first few weeks or months, we will consistently assess your partnership(s) with your therapist(s), the cadence of your sessions and the progress you’re making together. We will adjust, augment and edit any aspect of your care that maximizes your experience.

04.
Transform & Integrate

As the collaborative work progresses, the internal and external changes you’re experiencing will be monitored and integrated. Any further adjustments to your plan will be handled thoughtfully and strategically.

05.
Terminate

A goal of therapy is to leave therapy. Part of our job is to help support the most effective and efficient therapeutic experience possible – and a key value of the team approach is that it optimizes your timeline so you get the $#@! out of therapy and into your life. We won’t rush this, but we’ll be evaluating it earnestly in the later stage of the work together.

Why Aim?

Because the bullseye of perfection is a myth. Because we are often the target. Because we covet the golden center and discount the surrounding rings. Because we may miss the mark. Because often how we do one thing is how we do everything.  Because how we show up for ourselves, for others and for our objectives directly informs our outcomes.

Aim is about harnessing our strengths and our weaknesses, and moving with meaning toward our goals. Aim takes practice, patience, insight, willingness, bravery and commitment. It also takes the right tools and the right partners.

Aim Psychotherapy is a private practice mental health collective of therapists devoted to working with men who are ready to challenge themselves, face themselves and express themselves — to heal, ask, answer, change, grow, learn, mend what hurts, amplify what is working and eradicate what isn’t.
